This guide is designed to help you find your way through the process of locating the resources your family needs. The guide is divided into 5 sections that address important issues families face on a daily basis:

Rather than a list of helpful agencies with phone numbers, this guide explains what kind of programs and resources are available and directs you to specific agencies that can guide you through the application and referral processes. These agencies serve as your “doorway” to resources. You are not alone in figuring out how to get the resources your family needs.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT FIND
This is not an eligibility manual.
Some programs have eligibility rules. Not all programs use the same rules and the rules can change over time. Although most programs look at income, they also look at your family’s circumstances and factor in deductions when determining eligibility. The “doorway” agencies will help determine your eligibility or they will guide you to agencies that can determine eligibility and take applications.
