Child Care

What can I get from R&R?

R&R specialists provide a range of services based on your family’s child care needs such as:
  • Helping you figure out what kind of care you are looking for such as center-based care or family-based care.

  • Providing referrals to licensed providers close to your home or your work.

  • Giving information about Head Start and State Preschool.

  • Helping you prepare to interview providers.

  • Helping to determine your needs for payment assistance and other kinds of services such as health care coverage.

  • Assisting people interested in becoming licensed Family Child Care Providers.
R&R does not make
recommendations about providers or
placements for your child.

The decision and the responsibility for the decision are up to you. R&R is committed to providing you with helpful information so you can make your decision with confidence.

Even if you already have child care, you can benefit from R&R services.
  • The Lending Library loans books, learning activities, DVDs, CDs, videos and other resources to anyone who spends time with children.

  • Free workshops for parents and child care providers are available as well as a quarterly newsletter.

  • Make sure your current provider knows about the resources available from R&R.
Oliver’s Law gives you the right as a parent to get information about any substantiated or inconclusive complaints about the licensed child care provider that you select for your child. This information is public and you can get it by calling 895-5033.
