FOOD, NUTRITION & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Having a healthy family depends on many things. Your family needs nutritious food and physical activity (playtime!) to be healthy. But with all the things you have to do in a day, it is hard to plan for and make healthy meals. If you are on a budget, it can be even harder to make healthy meals and find activities that fit your budget.

There are programs that can help. Some programs have eligibility rules and applications but some programs require no more than planning the time to go and showing up.

If you are unfamiliar with programs listed, you can call the Breastfeeding Support Center (BFSC) and they can answer your questions and help you determine the best way to apply for the programs that you need – even if you are not breastfeeding. Call BFSC at 245-6466; they are your doorway to healthier living with better eating and increased physical activity.

In this section, you will learn about the following programs:

Breastfeeding Support Center (BFSC)

Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Food Stamp Program (FSP)

Adult Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP)

Food Commodities and Pantries
