How do I apply?
In Shasta County, you will need to make an appointment for a face-to-face interview.
- If you live in the southern, western and northern part of the county,
call 225-5767.
- If you in the eastern part of the county, call 335-5576.
You can have an application sent to you ahead of time to complete before your appointment. Also have your documents ready to take to the appointment so that you can complete your application as soon as possible.

Your Food Stamp award cannot be used to buy
tobacco products and alcohol; non-food items like
paper products, soaps and cosmetics; vitamins
and medicines; or foods to be eaten in the store.
